Broadwater lake
and GUC canal

Opens to members
on June 1st

A new lake for our members to fish. The lake will open to members on June 1st, 2020. Situated in Cosgrove, close to Cosgrove Park. Access the lake via the GUC towpath. Parking near the marina is available for members, accessed via Lock Lane.

Fishing is on the west side of the lake only. There are platforms available for comfortable fishing. No night fishing is allowed on this water. Junior anglers are allowed to fish if they are supervised by and adult.

The lake is approximately 6 acres in size. There are numerous species in the lake. Carp to 30lb, quality tench, bream, roach, perch and rudd are available.

Alongside the canal we offer a length of canal, from the Iron Trunk aqueduct to the Lock near Cosgrove Marina. Boats do moor along this stretch. There are the usual canal species for members to catch, carp, roach, bream, perch, gudgeon.
